O LAD (Laboratório de Artefatos Digitais) reúne pesquisadores interessados na materialidade, nas práticas de significação e nas relações socioculturais com artefatos digitais, com ênfase em jogos. Fundado em 2005, atualmente o LAD está vinculado ao Programa de Pós-Graduação em Comunicação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, mas reúne participantes de diversas instituições e áreas de conhecimento.
About us:
LAD stands for Laboratório de Artefatos Digitais [Laboratory of Digital Artefacts]. We bring together researchers interested in materiality, practices of signification, and socio-cultural relationships with digital artefacts, with an emphasis on games. Founded in 2005, LAD is currently linked to the Postgraduate Program in Communication at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, but gathers participants from various institutions and fields of knowledge.
